Privacy policy

Your information, plainly explained.

Effective September 28, 2026 · Updated October 14, 2026

This site belongs to RD Cruz, a freelance developer, designer and digital marketer based in the Philippines. I collect as little as I can, I only use it to reply to you, run the free tools and improve this site, and I never sell it. If you have a question, email hello@rdcruz.com.

What I collect and why

When you send a project brief

Before you send a brief, you're asked to agree to this policy. The form sends your name, company, email address, the services and features you picked, your timeline, your answers to the optional questions and any notes. They are saved in this website's database and emailed to me, so I can reply and discuss your project. I keep briefs for as long as we're talking about a project, and I'll delete yours if you ask.

Analytics, only if you accept

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) records how the site is used, so I can see what's working and what to fix:

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. It does not store your IP address. I can only see totals and trends, not who you are. If you click Decline, no analytics cookies are set.

Google Translate, only if you use it

The translate button (文A) loads Google Translate only after you pick a language, and again on the pages you visit while that language is chosen. Google then receives the page's text and your IP address to translate it, and sets a small cookie that remembers your chosen language. See Google's privacy policy.

The free tools

To see which tools are useful, the site keeps a simple log of what is made when you copy, download or save something: which tool, and the result, such as the link or QR code address, the page title and address you previewed, or the color you picked. For invoices it logs only the document type, currency and number of items. For the Hatian Bill Splitter, Kris Kringle Draw and the other in-browser tools it logs only counts, such as "a group with 4 people" or "6 photos optimized", never names, wishes, amounts or files. The log does not include your name, email, IP address or anything that identifies you.

Short links for groups and matches

If you make a short link in the Hatian Bill Splitter, Kris Kringle Draw or Gawain Project Board, your browser first locks (encrypts) the group or match with a random key. Only the locked data is saved on this site, and the key exists only in the part of your short link after the # sign, which browsers never send to any server. Without the full link, nobody, including me, can read it. Whoever made a short link can update it from the same browser. Short links are deleted automatically 90 days after their last update, and I keep only a count of how many times each was opened.

The site pets (Bulilits)

The little pets that walk around the site are shared by everyone who visits. When you pet, hug, feed, nurture, heal or play with one, the site saves only the pet's own state: its needs, its size and how many times it has been cared for in total. Nothing about you is saved with it: no name, account, IP address or record of who did what. To stop people overwhelming the pets, the site briefly limits how many actions can come from one connection in a minute, using a temporary, scrambled counter that expires after a minute. You can hide the pets with "Hide the pets" at the bottom of any page; that choice is kept in your browser.

Game challenges

If you start or join a Salansan group challenge, the site saves the challenge (its name, team names and end time) and, for each player, the nickname they typed, their team, their best score and how many rounds they played. Pick any nickname you like; it doesn't have to be your real name. Your browser keeps a random code that proves the nickname is yours, and the site stores only a scrambled version of it. Nothing else about you is saved, and a challenge and all its scores are deleted 30 days after it ends. Everyone with the challenge link can see its leaderboard.

Spam protection

The project brief, short-link and game challenge forms use a check that runs quietly in your browser: it solves a small puzzle from this site before sending. No third-party captcha is used, nothing is shown to you, and nothing about you is stored for it.

Things stored in your browser

The site remembers your light or dark theme, your cookie choice, whether you've hidden the pets, your game scores, streaks and crossword progress and, if you use them, your invoice details and project boards, in your browser's local storage. That information stays on your device and is never sent to me.

Fonts

The site's fonts are served from this site, so loading a page doesn't contact Google Fonts or any other font service.

When you email me

If you email me directly, I keep the conversation in my inbox and use it only to reply to you.
