How to use your palette
- Use your main color sparingly for buttons, highlights and key messages, about 10% of a design. Use the light tints for backgrounds and the dark shades for text.
- Complementary colors (opposite on the color wheel) make things stand out, good for a "Buy now" button. Analogous colors (neighbors) feel calm and consistent.
- In Canva, open Brand Kit (or a design's color picker), click +, and paste each hex code.
- Check contrast before you post. Many people read on phones outdoors. A ratio of at least 4.5 means most people can read normal text; 3 is the minimum for big headlines.
