Kept: paragraphs, headings, bold, italics, underline, lists, quotes, tables, pictures (https), links, and YouTube and Vimeo videos (YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode).
Removed: scripts, styles, fonts and colours from Word, hidden Office tags, click handlers, javascript: links, other embeds and empty paragraphs.
Tidied: a page title (h1) becomes a section heading (h2), since your page already has its own title. An opening "By …" line becomes the byline.
Basic mode keeps only simple formatting and links, which is safest for comments and notes from visitors.
